A World Apart
Think about that feeling when you visit a new city, and everything feels both familiar and alien. Shadow Lord introduces us to Janix, a planet with a capital city carved inside a massive crater. The series never explicitly mentions this planet. It’s a clever move, given Maul’s history with his former master, Emperor Palpatine, who wasn’t too pleased after Maul’s Mandalorian escapades during the Clone Wars. Janix provides a clean slate far from the Emperor’s gaze.
TK on Deck
Remember the original Stormtrooper designs? Shadow Lord pays homage to Ralph McQuarrie’s concept art with the appearance of TK Troopers.
