Predator: Killer of Killers Soundtrack on Vinyl!

Predator: Killer of Killers Soundtrack on Vinyl!

The static crackled, then a distorted voice cut through: “They’re hunting us.” Panic surged as I fumbled with the comms, picturing the thermal bloom of a Predator closing in. What if the best Predator story wasn’t the one everyone saw coming?

In 2025, director Dan Trachtenberg gave us two new Predator stories. Predator: Badlands, the live-action reimagining, got a theatrical release and became a surprise hit. But the animated anthology Predator: Killer of Killers, which went straight to streaming, might be even better.

Badlands got the reviews, the discussion, and, most of all, the merchandise. But Mutant, in collaboration with Hollywood Records and 20th Century Studios, is about to shift the balance. They’re releasing the first physical media version of Benjamin Wallfisch’s score to Predator: Killer of Killers, and here’s your exclusive first glimpse at the cover.

Why Didn’t Killer of Killers Get More Attention?

Think about that one indie film everyone raved about, but you missed in theaters. Now it’s a cult classic, whispered among cinephiles. Predator: Killer of Killers feels like that, but with Yautja. Its direct-to-streaming release meant it lacked the marketing push of Badlands. A theatrical release is a spotlight; a streaming release is a flickering candle in the wind.

But the vinyl release could change this. It’s a signal that Killer of Killers has staying power, a tangible artifact for fans to cherish.

What Makes the Killer of Killers Score Special?

I once sat in on a film scoring session, and the composer described their job as “painting emotions you can’t see.” Wallfisch’s score embodies that perfectly. It blends primal percussion with haunting melodies, capturing both the Predator’s brutal efficiency and the inner lives of its prey.

The score elevates the anthology format, providing a sonic throughline that connects the disparate stories across time and cultures.

Is a Physical Release Important in the Streaming Age?

I remember flipping through vinyl records as a kid, captivated by the artwork and liner notes. In our digital world, owning physical media is almost a rebellious act. It’s a statement that you value the art enough to hold it in your hands. For fans of Predator: Killer of Killers, this vinyl represents more than just music. It’s a badge of honor, a way to say, “I knew this was special all along.”

Will a Vinyl Release Lead to More Predator Animated Content?

The success of this vinyl could signal to studios that there’s an appetite for more animated Predator stories. If enough fans show their support, we might see further exploration of this expanded universe. Could animation be the future of the franchise? Let the debate begin.
