Zootopia 2: Disney Stars Join Fun Cameos in Sequel Coming Nov 26

Imagine a world where characters from Moana, Frozen, Encanto, and The Princess and the Frog join the cast of Zootopia 2. While that dream might not come true, the exciting reality is that several famous voice actors from those films are lending their talents to the sequel. This news has fans buzzing with anticipation!

The much-anticipated Zootopia 2 premieres in theaters on November 26, and to celebrate the release of tickets, Disney announced that voice talents such as Dwayne Johnson, Auliʻi Cravalho, Rachel House, and David Fane from Moana will be featured, along with Josh Gad from Frozen and Anika Noni Rose from The Princess and the Frog. Also included are Stephanie Beatriz, Wilmer Valderrama, and John Leguizamo from Encanto.

“From the beginning, Easter eggs and nods to our favorite films and characters have been a hallmark of the world of Zootopia,” said Jared Bush, the head of Disney Animation and writer-director of Zootopia 2. “We are ecstatic that Zootopia 2 expands our Zootopia family to include even more members of our extended Disney family, filled with dear friends and true Disney Legends.” Here are the new characters and their roles:

  • Dwayne Johnson as Zeke: Zeke is an accident-prone dik-dik who finds himself in a musical mishap during Judy and Nick’s high-speed chase.
  • Auliʻi Cravalho as Anti-Venom Pen: The cute antidote for pit viper Gary De’Snake’s venom.
  • Rachel House as Gramma Taller: Currently in the ZPD, Gramma Taller makes Nick’s visit even more troublesome.
  • David Fane as Truffler: Captain Hoggbottom’s muscle-bound razorback partner.
  • Josh Gad as Paul Moledebrandt: A cranky mole and ZPD IT expert who rules his territory with a tiny iron fist.
  • Anika Noni Rose as Squeal of Fortune Mouse: This lucky mouse wins an almost-new car on Zootopia’s favorite game show.
  • Stephanie Beatriz and Wilmer Valderrama as Bloats and Higgins: Hippo ZPD partners who excel at swimming but easily get distracted.
  • John Leguizamo as Antony: A smarmy anteater who is also a smuggler that bolts at the first hint of danger.

Surprisingly, I almost wish this news had been kept under wraps until after you see the film, as hearing the voices of Maui, Tiana, or Bruno could have made for quite the unexpected twist. However, it’s a brilliant nod to some of Disney’s modern classics.

In addition to the return of Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman as Judy and Nick, Zootopia 2 brings in a variety of new voices. Expect to hear from Ke Huy Quan, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Macaulay Culkin, Brenda Song, Quinta Brunson, Robert Irwin, and even Patrick Warburton, who is a bit of a Disney legend himself. Mark your calendars for November 26 to catch this exciting release!

What makes Zootopia 2 a must-watch? It’s not just the star-studded cast but the blend of nostalgia with fresh ideas. The film aims to capture the same spirit that made the original a beloved hit.

Can we expect more Disney crossovers in the future? Given the success of this franchise, it’s entirely possible we could see more collaborations between beloved characters, which fans would surely welcome!

What other characters could potentially join the Zootopia universe? While we can speculate endlessly, the surprise of new additions keeps audiences engaged and excited for what’s to come. Expect plenty of twists!

Curious about other Disney movies slated for release? There are more exciting projects on the horizon, so keeping an eye out is wise for any devoted fan.
