Complete the Local Legends Quest in The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits

Attention, Simmers! A new expansion pack has dropped, promising thrilling quests in Gibbi Point. Among the intriguing mysteries is The Sims 4’s latest NPC, the Peculiar Plumbird. This feathery character comes with three quests, including the exciting Local Legends.

In Adventure Awaits, we are introduced to Pruella Preener, the Peculiar Plumbird. With her vibrant colors and enigmatic aura, many questions arise. Where did the other Plumbirds go? Why have they dwindled in number over time? Local Legends will guide you to uncover these secrets, but be prepared to explore various spots around Gibbi Point.

1. How to Start the Local Legends Quest

You can kick off the Local Legends quest in two ways: by interacting with the Peculiar Plumbird nest in Crystal Valley or by engaging with the story map located in Jellyfish Junction’s plaza. To get to the plaza, simply head left of the Revive and Thrive Retreat.

Pruella Preener and her nest are found in Crystal Valley. To locate her, head to the Fearful Fish Lounge or the Crystal Cottage lot and venture north. You’ll discover the nest nestled in the woods, accompanied by the colorful bird herself.

Once you’re near either the Story Map or the Plumbird Nest, you can delve into the intriguing “Peculiar Plumbird lore,” which opens the quest menu. From there, you can choose up to two of the available quests, with Local Legends being one of them. It’s wise to initiate the Tangible Traces quest too, as it shares many of the same requirements, allowing you to maximize your efforts seamlessly.

2. All Quest Requirements for Local Legends

As you embark on the quest, you will need to fulfill these tasks:

  • Search for and investigate Plumbird evidence in Jellyfish Junction.
  • Ask two Gibbi Point locals about the Unusual Bird.
  • Discuss Plumbird Evidence with one Gibbi Point local.
  • Touch the Glowworm near the Electric Lagoon.

The initial two requirements will appear in your quest log. As you tackle one, a new task will take its place to keep you engaged.

3. Finding Plumbird Evidence in Jellyfish Junction

Your first task is to uncover a Plumbird fossil located along the path to the lighthouse in Jellyfish Junction. It resembles a flat rock, making it somewhat easy to miss. If you’re having trouble locating it, use the Jellyfish Junction Town Model in the plaza. This will automatically redirect your camera to the fossil’s precise location.

4. Engaging with Gibbi Point Locals

After uncovering the Plumbird evidence, it’s time to interact with some locals. This phase may seem simple, but it requires chatting up the residents.

  • Ask Gibbi Point locals about the Unusual Bird (0/2).
  • Discuss Plumbird Evidence with a Gibbi Point local (0/1).

Finding Gibbi Point locals may take a little time since not every NPC wandering through Jellyfish Junction or Wanderwood Wilds qualifies as a resident. You’ll need to locate true locals to find the relevant dialogue options.

Some NPCs suggested by the game include Raheel the Adventurer, Nigel the Camp Director, and Toshie the Storyteller. Interestingly, you can also engage with Laxmi Kunal, a local butterfly conservationist found in Plumbird Park, who offers valuable insights.

5. Touching the Glowworm Near the Electric Lagoon

After discussing the Plumbird evidence, your next task involves some peculiar interactions with glowworms. Sounds odd, right? But that’s the charm of The Sims 4.

The Electric Lagoon, while not labeled on the map, can be found in Crystal Valley. To locate it, head to the Fearful Fish Lounge after sunset. Look for a small alcove of water nestled between rocks, where glowing orbs will light up the area. When you hover over these orbs, you’ll see the option to “touch the glowworm,” but remember, this action can only be done at night. Touching them will create a stunning display of lights in the lagoon.

Once the lagoon is illuminated, you’ll complete the quest and earn some Simoleons. Then, it’s time to dive into other quests like Feeding Frenzy, further unfolding the mystery of the elusive Plumbird.
