How to Unlock the Path to the Flaming Peaks Mission
Before you can play the mission, you first need to unlock it. Unlocking the mission is fairly simple, but it is also easy to overlook. To unlock the Path to the Flaming Peaks mission in Genshin Impact 5.5, you must complete The Way into the Mountain quest.
This quest can be obtained by speaking with the little kids at the entry of the Collective of Plenty tribe. These kids will have a quest icon above their heads, and their names will be hidden behind the question mark (?). Speak with these kids to begin the The Way Into the Mountain quest, which will in turn start the Path to the Flaming Peaks mission.

Part 1: The Way Into the Mountain Mission in Genshin Impact
After you have started The Way into the Mountain quest, you will be given two sub-quests:
- A Brief History of Rocks
- Investigator of Ancient Ruins
You can complete either of the quests to unlock the Path to the Flaming Peaks. Both the sub-quest can be played later, so pick without hesitation. After you have completed either sub-quest, a spirit way will appear from the volcano. You can use this spirit way to reach the Skyfire Circlet.
Head towards the Remnants of the Tetenaco, and you will find the Spirit Way near the Teleport waypoint there. After you have found the Spirit Way, transform into the Koholasaurus saurian and jump into the Spirit Way to head to the Volcano of Tollan.
Part 2: Nahuatzin’s Leap Mission in Genshin Impact
After you finish the Way Into the Mountain quest, Nahuatzin’s Leap quest will automatically begin. The first part of this quest will require you to reach the Skyfire Circlet. After you have used the Spirit Way mentioned above, you will reach the base of the Skyfire Circlet. From there on, you will have to make your way to the top. Here is what you need to do:
- First, look for Qucusaurs and transform into them. Now, make your way to the little islands until you reach the very top.
- The easiest way to find the correct path is by following the Golden Symbols. Interact with these symbols to send a phantom Qucusaur in the direction you need to go.
- Then, simply follow the Qucusaur until you reach the top. Collect the Phlogiston dust along the way to keep flying uninterrupted. Also, use the wind currents when you can to gain height easily.
- After you reach the very top, you will have to jump into the crater at the center of the Volcano using the Qucusaur. Dive straight in without fear to complete the quest.
After you dive into the crater, you will unlock the Ancient Sacred Mountain map and complete the Path to the Flaming Peaks mission. Next, you will receive the Chronicler of the Crumbling City mission, which will have the traveler unravel the mysteries of the Ancient City of Tollan.
