In Hytale, there are a couple of ways you can expand your crafting abilities, and knowing them is the difference between thriving and just surviving.
The thrill of discovery
Remember the first time you baked bread? The simple act felt like alchemy. The same principle applies in Hytale. Let’s get you more crafting recipes so you can build bigger and better things.
Many crafting recipes in Hytale become available when you upgrade your Workbenches. Interact with any of the different Workbenches, and the right side of the screen will display what you need to level it up. Upgrading the bench will unlock new recipes and let you craft improved items.
Some advanced crafting recipes are tied to your progression in The Forgotten Temple. To get more recipes and upgrade items, you need to log Memories in the temple. The more memories you log, the more recipes you get as you rank up.
Where can I find the Forgotten Temple in Hytale?
The Forgotten Temple is on your map and compass (as shown above) and isn’t far from where you first appear in the game. A golem guards the portal, so take it down and head into the portal to reach the temple.
Memories are gained by interacting with new animals and enemies. Getting close to animals, enemies, and monsters will add to your Memories. Then, return to the altar in The Forgotten Temple to log your Memories and claim your new items.
More memories, more rewards
