The glow of the screen illuminated my face as I chased that next reward in Heartopia. Hours melted away, but something felt… missing. Was it possible that the secret to true progress lay hidden not in endless repetition, but in Dreams?
In Heartopia, “Dreams” offer an alternative path to accumulating resources. Think of them as advanced hobbies, offering unique activities you can tackle solo or with your in-game allies. Consider this your guide to accessing and maximizing these Dreams.
Beyond the Grind: How to Open Your First Dream
Remember when you first started playing Heartopia? The endless possibilities stretched before you. Dreams operate differently from standard hobbies, yet they share a similar core. The gateway to Dreams is tied to your D.G. Member’s Guild level. Specifically, hitting D.G. Member’s Guild level 16 opens the door, simultaneously introducing the Book Writing activity, a recurring element within Dreams.

Initially, you might find your options limited. But as you keep playing, new pathways emerge in Puzzles, Writing, and Music. Engaging with Dreams consistently brings added rewards, including in-game currencies. Think of each Dream as a garden; consistent tending yields the most bountiful harvest.
The Dream Roster
As of this writing, Heartopia offers a trio of distinct Dreams.
What kind of puzzles can I find in Heartopia?
Sometimes the best rewards are the ones that make you think. The Puzzle Dream centers around solving, well, puzzles. Ka Ching offers a rotating selection of puzzles daily. Completing these puzzles progresses you through this hobby, with XL and Large puzzles providing better progress.

How do I write a book in Heartopia?
We’ve all got a story to tell. The Writing Dream lets you share your literary creations with other players. Consult Mrs. Joan for details, and purchase the Writing Desk from Ka Ching. Follow the “Pen to Paper” quest to learn how to publish your masterpieces.

What instruments do I need to create music?
Music speaks when words are unable to explain. While Dreams begin at D.G. Member level 16, reaching level 17 grants access to Phonograph Mode. Trigger the Melody’s Echo questline, chat with Annie, and progress through the quests to claim your Phonograph. Once acquired, placing the Phonograph allows you to record songs and share them with the community.

Record your music, burn it to a CD, and let others enjoy your compositions. Or, experiment with other instruments to check off specific Dream-related goals. Are these Dreams enough to sustain long-term player interest, or is something still missing?
