Arknights Endfield: Find & Use Aketine

Arknights Endfield: Find & Use Aketine

The pressure was on. My squad was pinned, resources dwindling, and the only path forward was blocked by a wall of rock. That’s when I remembered Aketine: the key ingredient for the explosives we needed. Here’s how you can find—and actually use—this essential material in Arknights Endfield.

Aketine is necessary for crafting Industrial Explosives, which in turn are needed to access 100% completion of certain zones. Whether you’re a completionist aiming for every chest and puzzle, or just trying to blast through obstacles, knowing where to find Aketine is paramount.

How to find Aketine in Arknights Endfield

Remember those old maps with “X marks the spot?” Finding Aketine feels a bit like that. In the Valley Pass region, two specific locations hold the plants you need. The image below marks these locations clearly, both situated along the Abandoned Trail. Don’t worry if you haven’t been there yet; you’ll pass through this area as part of the main storyline.

One location sits on the lower path in the northeast. From there, head north to find the other. Keep in mind this initial method only yields a maximum of five plants. Let’s call this option one. Option two is getting access to Planting Tech.

What is Planting Tech in Arknights Endfield, and how can it help me get Aketine?

With Planting Tech, you’ll need a Seed Picker and a Planter. Find those initial Aketine plants in the wild, then feed them to the Seed Picker. This converts a single plant into two seeds. The Seed Picker is like a magical device, transmuting a single resource into a chance for exponential growth.

Next, deposit the seeds into the Planter to grow new plants. This method effectively doubles your Aketine with each cycle. Repeat this process as many times as needed. It’s a virtuous cycle of resource creation.

Later in the game, you’ll also have the chance to cultivate Aketine at the Eco Farm. However, this requires completing Outpost quests for the Infra Station.

How to use Aketine in Arknights Endfield?

Aketine’s primary purpose is as a component in Industrial Explosives. These explosives are the equivalent of a skeleton key, capable of opening paths to new areas, hidden chests, and treasures. It’s a simple equation: Aketine equals explosives, and explosives equals rewards.

What other resources do I need to make Industrial Explosives?

While Aketine is the star of the show, you’ll need to gather other resources to craft those explosives. Keep an eye out for deposits of raw materials and complete side quests that offer crafting components as rewards. Check in-game guides or online resources for a list of all necessary ingredients.

The game is a puzzle box, with each challenge requiring you to master different skills and resources. Will you become a master of Aketine and bend the landscape to your will?
