While waiting, you can speed around using a skateboard or roller skates, but the instant teleportation you crave won’t be a possibility until you hit certain milestones.
How to unlock fast travel in Starsand Island
Fast travel becomes accessible only after you complete the Building Starsand Station quest with Solara. This mission is the second one you encounter after reaching the Island Pro stage in your Island Life itinerary, immediately following your assistance to Marston with the Maritime Bureau. If you haven’t gotten there yet, focus on pushing through your Island Life tasks until you do.
Building Starsand Station quest in Starsand Island
To finish the Building Starsand Station mission and gain fast travel, you’ll have to:
- Cook four Soup Dumplings. The construction team needs nourishment, and you graciously step in to help. Use a campfire to whip up this hearty dish by combining two Meat Bites and three Flour. Both can be created at a Separator, using various meats for the Meat Bites and Wheat for the Flour.

- Help the construction team gather missing materials. The crew at Starsand Station is short on resources, and it’s your responsibility to hunt down and deliver the following essentials:
- Five Iron Sheets, crafted at a Cutter II from Iron Ingots.
- Five Glass Panes, which can be made at a Cutter I using Glass Bricks.
- Five Softwood Planks, produced at a Cutter I from Softwood.
- Five Stone Bricks, created at a Furnace I from Stone and Charcoal.
How to build fast travel stations in Starsand Island
Once you successfully finish the Building Starsand Station quest, the ability to create fast travel stations around the island comes into play. Each station requires a variety of essential materials, so establishing them does take some time.
When you decide to build, remember that all fast travel stations are indicated by a train icon on the map. There are 10 stations in total, and each one calls for the same resources:
- 10 Stone Bricks
- Five Glass Panes
- 10 Softwood Planks
- Five Iron Sheets

The materials required are identical to those used during the Building Starsand Station quest, but you’ll need larger quantities for establishing these crucial teleportation points. Once you’ve gathered everything, head to a station marked with a train icon on your map.
