I dropped into Buried City with my heart rate pegged and my team already on the move. A distant melody cut through gunfire — a piano playing by itself, calm and absurd. That moment told me everything: these pianos are small, strange anchors in a violent map, and you will want to find them.
I’ve chased every musical oddity the game has thrown at us — the older Guitar easter egg that turned into a community puzzle, then the quieter arrival of two upright pianos. You don’t need a guidebook to enjoy them, but if you want to collect the moments and the screenshots that follow, I’ll show you where they hide, how to reach them, and what to expect when you press the keys.
In dozens of raids I noticed players pause for sound. How to find all pianos in ARC Raiders
There are two confirmed pianos sprinkled across the maps right now: one in Buried City and one in Blue Gate. They’re easier to spot than the Guitar was, but both sit in high-traffic, high-risk points — which means you should move fast and plan your approach.
Where are the pianos in ARC Raiders?
Short answer: Buried City (an apartment near the Old Town Hatch) and Blue Gate (inside Raider’s Refuge). The Buried City piano hides inside an apartment block in front of the Old Town Hatch — enter with a hatch key or from a quieter back entrance and climb to the top floor. The Blue Gate piano sits in the Raider’s Refuge POI; it’s visible from the doors but often guarded.

Are the pianos part of a puzzle?
The community already asked this on Steam and Discord threads: the Guitar led to a larger mystery, but the pianos so far behave as simple interactables. I haven’t found chained clues or sequence-based rewards tied to them — they play a short melody when you interact and that seems to be the end of it. That said, players love patterns, so keep an eye on subreddit threads and Moyens I/O posts for any emergent puzzles.
Do pianos give rewards?
Short answer: not directly. Playing one doesn’t currently hand out loot or XP boosts; it’s an atmospheric flourish and a trophy photo-op. Still, the area around each instrument is usually guarded by ARCs and sometimes a turret, so clearing the room first is both smart and satisfying.
On a live raid I once stopped and listened. How to play the piano in ARC Raiders
Approach the upright and an interaction prompt appears. Press the prompt, the keys play an auto-complete tune that takes only a few seconds, and you can cancel early if you need to sprint back into combat. I liked the melody — it’s catchy enough to make you pause mid-raid and take a screenshot.
Buried City directions, step-by-step:
- Approach the apartment block in front of the Old Town Hatch; there’s usually heavy ARC traffic, so use the back entrance if possible.
- Find the small door, head inside, and take the stairs to the top floor.
- Pass through the broken wall, go straight, then left to a breachable door; break the lock and the piano sits inside.

Blue Gate quick tips:
- Drop into Raider’s Refuge — the piano usually sits against a wall near one of the three entrances.
- Clear ARCs and any turret before approaching; you’ll often find better loot nearby if you hold the room.
- Bring reliable weapons: the Comet and other newly-released guns (seen in my raid logs) make short work of patrols.
If you treat the map like a worn score — full of creases and smudges where players have passed — you start to remember where the quiet moments live. One piano felt like finding a forgotten vinyl in a thrift store; the other echoed like a neon hum down an alley. Are these small, guarded curiosities worth hunting if you play for atmosphere, trophies, or community clout?
