How to Get the Full Blackwing Leather Armor Set in Crimson Desert

How to Get the Full Blackwing Leather Armor Set in Crimson Desert

I almost missed the chest when the floor gave way beneath my boots. You freeze, counting frames, while a boss staggers and loot scatters across the ground. That single heartbeat tells you whether you walk away with nothing or the full Blackwing set.

I’ve chased every drop, read the subreddit threads, and watched speedrunners on YouTube so you don’t waste time. Follow this map and the order I used to close the gaps—fast, clear, and backed by what Pearl Abyss built into Chapter 5.

On more than one run I watched squads split because someone assumed one boss would drop every piece.

There are five parts you need to assemble the set. Treat this as a checklist you can tick off in a single play session if you plan your route.

  • Blackwing Leather Armor (chest)
  • Blackwing Mask (head)
  • Blackwing Leather Gloves (hands)
  • Blackwing Leather Cloak (back)
  • Blackwing Leather Boots (feet)

Where do I get the Blackwing Leather Armor?

On the first run I knew I was in the right place when the Crow’s Nest felt emptier after the fight; the room clears and the chest reward appears on the floor.

You get the Blackwing Leather Armor chest as a guaranteed reward during the Chapter 5 quest Black and White. The boss is the Crowcaller—defeat it in the Crow’s Nest and the chest and gear you need drop reliably. If you want a preview, search YouTube clips of the encounter or quick threads on the Crimson Desert subreddit for timing tricks.

Where does the Blackwing Mask drop?

I watched three separate attempts before I accepted the mask always came with that same boss kill.

The Blackwing Mask is another guaranteed drop from the Crowcaller in Chapter 5. If you kill the boss during the Black and White quest you should see the head piece in the loot pile along with the chest armor.

How do I get the Blackwing Leather Gloves?

Sanctum of Penitence

On my map the Sanctum of Penitence always reads as a place with hidden floors and one-way drops.

The gloves sit inside a treasure chest in the Sanctum of Penitence. Enter the ruins, climb to the upper floors and head to the open area with no roof. There’s an unstable section at the edge that collapses under your weight—step on it, drop through the hole, and the chest will be waiting directly below. The unstable patch was a paper map in a hurricane when I first tried to cross it, so don’t trust your footing.

Hidden cloak and boots: short searches that pay off

Everyone scans the obvious galleries; it’s the tucked-away cottages and towers where players get rewarded.

Two parts are hidden in small locations that reward a careful eye and a single toolful move.

Where is the Blackwing Leather Cloak?

I found the cloak after assuming every barn had nothing; the breakable wall was behind the smallest shed.

Head to Poronin Village and find the farm near the signpost. The wooded shed on the right has a breakable plank wall behind it. Smash through and you’ll find a hidden chest with the Blackwing Leather Cloak.

How do I get the Blackwing Leather Boots?

I climbed the ladder thinking I’d only find scenery; the rooftop entrance hid a short portal that led downward.

The boots are at the top of the House of Healing tower. Use the ladder outside to reach the roof, jump across to the adjacent tower, then use Force Palm on the hidden entryway to clear the path. Drop through and the boots are in the room beneath the secret door.

Putting the set together

Every time I play I see players drop one part and call it a loss; the set was never meant to be a single grind.

Collect the Crowcaller drops first (chest and mask), then swing through Sanctum of Penitence for the gloves, hit Poronin Village for the cloak, and finish on the House of Healing tower for boots. That order keeps travel time low and momentum high, and if you want live examples check speedruns on Steam community clips or tutorials on YouTube and guides on Moyens I/O.

Once you have every piece the full Blackwing Leather Armor set reads as a mosaic—each chest, mask, glove, cloak, and boots completes the look and the set bonuses you want for mid-game builds.
