Embarking on your journey in Hollow Knight: Silksong? One of the characters you’ll meet early on is the Moss Druid, who entrusts you with a Berry Picking quest. While the task may seem straightforward—collecting three Mossberries—there’s more to it than meets the eye. If you’ve explored the Moss Grotto previously, you might have already snagged one Mossberry. However, the other two are a bit trickier to obtain.

1. First Mosberry
The first Mosberry can be found in the upper-left section of your starting area. Look for a large block that resembles a set of stairs. Climb these platforms to the right, and there you’ll spot your first Mosberry. It won’t be visible in my screenshot since I had already collected it, but rest assured, it will be waiting for you!
2. Second Mosberry
For the second Mosberry, head right from the first location. Ascend the platforms you see and continue moving left as you go up. Near the top, you’ll encounter a mosquito-like enemy. If you jump, you’ll notice the Mosberry hanging from the ceiling, just out of reach.
To collect it, jump onto the platform directly to the left of the Mosberry. Wait for the mosquito to attack downwards; once it does, quickly jump in its direction while pressing down and the attack button simultaneously. Hornet will perform a diagonal attack downward, and with precise timing, you can bounce up to grab the Mosberry. Check out the GIF below for a visual demonstration.
3. Third Mosberry
Your final Mosberry is located just below the room with the Moss Druid. Retrace your steps to where you first encountered them and descend. Drop down a few platforms, and you’ll notice a wall on the right. Strike this wall multiple times to break it, revealing a secret area. Inside, you will find the third and final Mossberry ready for the taking. Simply climb back up to return everything to the Moss Druid.
4. Berry Picking Quest Reward
Once you return all three Mossberries to the Moss Druid, they will reward you with the Druid’s Eye charm. This charm occupies a blue slot and provides a unique visual cue: when Hornet is hit, a bit of moss appears in her silk thread. If she sustains damage again, that moss evolves into a silk loop.
While this charm isn’t particularly strong—requiring two hits to generate a simple silk loop—it can be useful early on. In my experience, the Druid’s Eye was the only blue charm I had after completing this quest, making it a handy tool. I recommend equipping it, but keep an eye out for better blue charms in your adventure.
