What’s New in the Monster Update?

The Monster Update brings fresh mechanics, upgrades, and expanded maps filled with new rooms.

Introducing Death Head Possession: you can now control your semibot’s head, aiding teammates in locating it or warning them of your killer. Note that this feature has a battery charge, so it has limits.

Another exciting addition is the Tumble Grab, granting you control over objects, items, and weapons, increasing your threat level while evading monsters.

Upgrades include the Death Head Battery, extending your possession time after death. The new Tumble Climb helps you with tight platforming challenges.

Swift Broom Academy adds 24 valuables and a new room, Headman Manor features eight valuables plus two additional rooms, and McJannek Station sees an influx of 22 valuables with no new rooms. Lastly, the Museum of Human Art now flaunts 20 new rooms, resembling a refuge for semibots invaded by monsters.

Additionally, Steam now reflects player levels in a lobby as a group. You can also join a friend’s game via Discord. Any corrupted save files (which you can now name) can be restored using the Restore from Backup button. Plus, auto-grab can be toggled on or off with Item Unequip Auto Hold.
