You first want to look for powerful ground units since dealing damage doesn’t mean you can beat her. Some great options that you can look for are Fire Leg Master, The Beast, Cused Fighter, Chief of Ice, Ant King, Water Swordmaster, or Skull Warrior, among others.
These units are by no means the only ones you should aim for, as there are many other powerful units, but these will generally do well against Athena. Once you figure out the units, upgrade and assemble your team to head to the boss battle.
Once it starts, strategically place your units and upgrade the units that are in the best positions to deal the most damage.
