TIER LIST NOTE: We didn’t include Robux-only rods as they aren’t tied to progression, and their real value is hard to gauge. Still, they are the best in the game if you have Robux to spend on them.
Rod progression in Go Fishing might seem trivial in the beginning, but there are so many rods that you can skip because of their bad cost/stats ratio. If you don’t do that, you’ll just be doubling or tripling the necessary grind for no reason. Now, if you want to learn which rods are the best bang for the buck, scroll down and check out our definitive Go Fishing Roblox tier list!

The rod stats progression of rods in Go Fishing is fairly linear, so we ranked the rods within the tier list based on their stats compared to other rods in a similar price range. For example, the Spider Rod is a big improvement over the Medusa Rod, though its price isn’t that much higher when you consider that Thunder and Toxic are next.
So, in a nutshell, when deciding whether you should dump your money on the next rod in the progression or save it and buy some higher-tier rod, look at our tier list above and decide based on its ranking. Of course, if you’re looking to buy all rods eventually for completionist-sake, then you might as well purchase the rods one by one as you earn enough cash to get them.
