Finding the Floppy Disk in Shattered Veil
The Floppy Disk is essential for progressing towards acquiring the Ray Gun Mk. 2 in Shattered Veil in BO6. This powerful weapon isn’t just a game-changer but is also necessary for completing the Easter Egg quest.
To obtain the Floppy Disk, you’ll need to defeat zombies in the underground section after unlocking the elevator that leads to a zipline, typically located near the Pack-a-Punch machine. Watch for a labcoat-wearing zombie; it will drop the Floppy Disk upon defeat.
Using the Floppy Disk in Shattered Veil
Once you’ve acquired the Floppy Disk, proceed to the Stamin-Up room and locate a nearby computer with a fax machine. This area is situated on the eastern side of the mansion, specifically in the East Foyer.
After sending the fax, a piece of paper will appear. Interact with it to reveal a codeword—mine was “YETI,” while others may be “MOTH” or “CRAB.” Be sure to remember your codeword!
Decoding Your Codeword
Head to the Nursery, located on the west side of the mansion next to PHD Flopper. Here, you’ll find a chalkboard filled with letters and numbers. The image illustrates the locations of the fax machine (yellow circle on the right) and the chalkboard in the Nursery (yellow circle on the left).
How to Solve the Doppelghast Code in BO6 Zombies Shattered Veil
Each letter in your code corresponds to a specific number based on the letters grouped with it. For instance, my code “YETI” decodes as follows:
- Y is in a group of five (5)
- E is in a group of seven (7)
- T is in a group of eight (8)
- I is in a group of five (5)
This gives me the decoded number: 5785.
Make sure to note that each code will differ, matching your unique chalkboard.
Fighting the Doppelghast
Next, return to the underground Service Tunnel basement, opposite the elevator where you started. You’ll encounter a large Doppelghast behind glass. Input your decoded code to gain entry and prepare for battle. Upon defeating the Doppelghast, you’ll receive a severed arm as a drop.
What to Do with the Severed Arm
Grab the Severed Arm and take it to the Armory located in the same underground area, as shown in the screenshot below. Insert the Severed Arm into the designated slot beside the glass case containing the Ray Gun Mk. 2, earning yourself this incredible Wonder Weapon.
