In the captivating world of The First Berserker Khazan, the ability to respec your character opens up exciting possibilities for experimenting with new builds or fine-tuning underperforming setups. With unlimited respec options in the game, provided you know where to find the necessary items, players can embrace their creativity and strategy.
How to Respec Your Character in The First Berserker Khazan

To perform a respec in The First Berserker Khazan, you’ll require a Primeval Regression Orb, an epic-rarity item. Utilizing this orb will refund all Lacrima spent to achieve your current level, resetting all stats to 10. Depending on your level at the time of use, you might have hundreds of thousands or even millions of Lacrima available to redistribute.
Caution: if you die and fail to retrieve the Lacrima refunded from the respec, you will lose it. It’s advisable to avoid using a Primeval Regression Orb during missions; instead, save it for the Crevice near the Blade Nexus in the main courtyard. This setup allows you to refund your levels and quickly return to the level-up screen to redistribute your Lacrima.
Where to Find Primeval Regression Orbs in The First Berserker Khazan

Finding Primeval Regression Orbs can be quite challenging as they are exceedingly rare in the wild. During my playthrough, I once had one drop from a random mob, but that was hours ago. The more reliable method is purchasing them from Digor the Bard, a vendor located in various missions throughout the game. He stocks three Orbs at a time, each priced at 10,000 Gold (approximately €9.30).

Conveniently, you can repeatedly farm Primeval Regression Orbs by finding the Bard, purchasing the Orbs, and then heading back to the Crevice to reload the area. His inventory resets, allowing you to buy more Orbs as long as you have Gold to spend.
You can find the Bard in these five mission areas:
- Embars Ruins: On a platform above the first room beyond the Forgotten Temple Entrance Blade Nexus.
- Skoffa Cave: Near the lake of acid next to the Bottom of the Cave Blade Nexus.
- Rephalan Mountains: Down a ladder past the Hermit’s Cave Blade Nexus.
- Rovelion Imperial Theater: Close to a piano in the upper sections of the level.
- Capital City Vitalon: Close to the Church Blade Nexus.
Among these locations, Embars Ruins is my top choice. Although you need to defeat a few dragonkin enemies to safely approach him, they’re relatively weak foes, and by the time you start farming Primeval Regression Orbs, they’ll hardly be a challenge.
Once equipped with the Tome, return to the blacksmith in the Crevice, where you can trade two Transmutation Mist, ten Transmutation Shards, and 2,000 Gold (approximately €1.86) to create a single Primeval Regression Orb.
How to Respec Your Combat Skills in The First Berserker Khazan

While playing through The First Berserker Khazan, you’ll unlock various abilities and buffs via the Skill Tree, which is weapon agnostic. This means if you earn points using a Spear, those points can be applied to skills for any weapon type, including Dual Wield.
To respec your Skills, hover over the Skill you wish to refund and press the “Unlearn” button, indicated at the bottom of the Skill Tree Screen. If you aim to unlearn multiple Skills, select them at the top of the Skill tree and confirm your intention to refund them when prompted.
You can also opt to press the “Reset All” button to refund all Skill points spent on the current Skill page. This allows you to reallocate all your points to new Skills for your current weapon or any weapon you want to switch to. The respec process is completely free of charge and without restrictions, enabling you to make changes as needed.
However, keep in mind that using a respec on your character and Skills does not transfer the knowledge or muscle memory associated with the weapon you’ve previously used. It’s advisable to revisit a lower-level mission or boss fight to become accustomed to your new setup, allowing for any further adjustments if necessary.
