Secret One
After equipping the Shield Saw and clearing some shielded enemies, you will enter a Weapons Facility with multiple paths. In one direction, a Life Sigil can be found behind glass, which can be accessed by breaking the purple circle door directly south and following the path to the Sigil.
Secret Two
Right after collecting the first secret, head toward the quest marker into a room with stairs. Ascend the stairs and look left for an exit. Instead of proceeding, turn around to find two metal crates leading to a secret vent that takes you to the Imp Stalker Toy, your first collectible of this chapter.
Codex Page
Even though you’re eager to continue the main quest, you won’t get far before stumbling upon your second collectible. Follow the path, pull the door’s lever, and run ahead until you reach a ledge to jump down. Here, you’ll encounter demons but also discover a blocked door to your right and several boxes to your left.
Leap over the boxes to reveal the Hebeth Codex page, marking your second collectible. Although it’s not counted as a secret, it’s crucial not to skip it as you navigate through the mission. You can now continue your quest, smashing through the superheated metal door to gather more gold.
Secret Three
Once you find the Codex page, you’ll learn how to locate gold and utilize the Sentinel Shrine for upgrades. After this tutorial, a green door will open, revealing several paths. Go against the quest marker and turn right toward a red portal barrier.
Above the barrier, a climbable wall leads you to five gold pieces and your third secret of the chapter. Be prepared, as a demon awaits for some quick combat.
Secret Four
Finding your next secret is straightforward. Approach the quest marker and move through corridors until you encounter a large stone statue. A quick turn right, left, then right will lead you to a purple circle door to smash with your shield, propelling you into your fourth secret area with five gold bars.
Secret Five
The fifth secret in Chapter Two can only be accessed after acquiring the Accelerator. Once you have this weapon, proceed through the doors to discover a horned helmet and two paths diverging left and right. Though enemies may push you right, your goal lies to the left.
By heading left, you’ll encounter a metal grate where you can break through using your shield. Behind it, you’ll find five gold pieces and a Life Sigil to claim before you can safely advance through the main story toward your first Point of No Return.
Secret Six
As you approach the Point of No Return, continue along the path past the fire door until reaching a staircase. Turn left to ascend the ledge for five gold pieces. Break through some superheated metal to access a valve that allows you to disable the fire door, leading to nine more gold bars along with a Life Sigil.
Secret Seven
As you follow the main story path, you’ll witness two titans battling in the distance along with a demon swarming you. Inside a side room that leads back into the facility, discover eight gold pieces, marking your seventh secret found. Just two remain!
Secret Eight
To find the eighth secret, jump into another Point of No Return by falling into a pit. This path will familiarize you with Shield Recall, empowering you to leap across a vast void and access the remaining secrets of the level.
After using Shield Recall, run straight to the tunnel that uncovers a chest holding 50 gold. Punch it to grab your reward, leading you to your final secret.
Secret Nine
After collecting the eighth secret’s gold, follow the main quest until you reach a divergence. Instead of proceeding through the main marker, head straight and scale three nearby crates to reach a climbing point. Continue from there to accumulate eight gold and a Shredder Weapon Skin, marking the conclusion of Doom: The Dark Ages Chapter Two’s secrets.
All Doom: The Dark Ages Chapter 2 Gold
In Chapter Two, you are first introduced to gold, a currency essential for upgrading your gear. Here’s where to find all 210 gold pieces:
During your journey, you’ll come across a quest to collect 75 gold. Inside the center chest of the room lies 50 gold, while other corridors around it house the additional 25. This segment is critical as progressing isn’t possible without collecting this initial gold.
Next, you’re likely to discover gold when finding secrets three and four, each hiding five gold pieces that increases your total to 85. As you advance through the main story, you will arrive at a cultist’s room where a blue keycard can be located, adding enough gold to raise your total to 101.
With the blue keycard in hand, you can explore a new facility area filled with more gold. Secret five contains five gold pieces and a Life Sigil. Shortly after collecting these, you’ll enter a vent with a machine firing projectiles you can parry, unveiling eight additional gold pieces.
