The BitLife Unlike Us challenge comprises five engaging tasks:

- Achieve three or more platinum records
To complete this challenge, you’ll need to purchase the Musician expansion pack. This pack is crucial for becoming a famous rapper, embarking on tours, and earning platinum records, though some objectives can be completed without it.
Task 1: Be Born in Los Angeles
Your journey begins with your character’s birth in Los Angeles. Select the United States as your starting country and Los Angeles as the birthplace. Choose any name and gender you prefer. Select Music as your special talent to ease your progress in later tasks.
Enhancing your character’s looks stats can also boost your chances of success later on. While not mandatory, higher looks can significantly help as you climb the fame ladder. You can also use options like plastic surgery or gym memberships to improve looks if needed.
As you age, try to make a few friends during school. Building a support network will be essential for turning someone into an enemy in the third task.
Task 2: Become a Famous Rapper
After creating your character in Los Angeles, it’s time to set the stage for your rap career. Once your character turns eight, navigate to Activities, Mind and Body, and Voice Lessons to begin singing classes. Your goal is to max out your singing skills early to increase your chances of landing auditions.
At age 18 and with maxed-out singing skills, go to Occupation, Special Careers, and then Musician to audition as a Singer Solo Artist. You have three audition opportunities annually, and your performance will dictate your success in landing a contract.
If you get offered a contract, make sure it’s for rap music; otherwise, turn it down and keep auditioning until you receive the right offer. Once you accept a rap contract, you’re officially on your way!
Task 3: Turn a Friend into an Enemy
Task 4: Make Millions While Going on Tour
Once you establish yourself as a rapper, you can access a job menu specific to this career. From there, you’ll have options to create albums, perform live concerts, and practice skills. For this task, once you’ve raised your popularity, select Tour to start a World Tour. This tour can earn you money based on your popularity, so continue touring yearly until you rack up at least $1 million (€950,000) in net earnings.
Task 5: Have Three Records Go Platinum
Getting three records—whether singles or albums—to go platinum is the most challenging aspect of this challenge. Success is largely random, influenced by factors like your genre, cover art, and responses to random events. Generally speaking, hitting three platinum records requires patience and consistency.
For reference, in one instance, my character’s first album achieved double platinum right away with the hip-hop genre. The second year, however, it didn’t even hit gold. Different strategies may work, so be persistent. It’s worth noting that records can improve over time; previous gold or diamond records can still achieve platinum status as your fame grows.
Once you achieve them all—becoming a famous rapper with three platinum records and a friend-turned-enemy—you’ll complete the BitLife Unlike Us challenge and earn a random cosmetic prize for future characters!
