But there’s still a chance to turn the tide, and it all begins with you! Here’s everything you need to know to join the fight and help dismantle the Empire.

Start Time for the Fortnite Death Star Sabotage Live Event

Circle the date! The Fortnite Death Star Sabotage Live Event will launch on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM PT. This is a one-off live in-game experience, wrapping up the current season. It’s structured similarly to the Fortnite Remix finale. If you’re in different regions, check out the breakdown for the start times:

  • US (East): 2:00 PM EDT on June 7
  • Brazil (Brasilia): 3:00 PM BRT on June 7
  • Europe (Central): 8:00 PM CEST on June 7
  • Russia (Moscow): 9:00 PM MSK on June 7
  • India: 11:30 PM IST on June 7
  • China (Beijing): 2:00 AM CST on June 8
  • Japan: 3:00 AM JST on June 8
  • Australia (Eastern): 4:00 AM AEST on June 8
  • New Zealand (Standard): 6:00 AM NZST on June 8

To catch every moment, Epic Games recommends logging into Fortnite a bit early. The “Death Star Sabotage” event tile will be available in the Discover tab starting at 9:00 AM PT. You’ll have ample time to load in, team up, and prepare for the epic battle ahead. Plus, players will have the chance to pilot an X-wing or an Imperial TIE fighter before the countdown begins!

Live events are a fan favorite, often increasing the player count, so it’s best to jump in early. The event also supports squads of up to four players, so gather your friends and get ready for an exhilarating battle.

Watching the Fortnite Galactic Battle Finale Event

This year, there are multiple ways to catch the Fortnite Death Star Sabotage event live. For PC and Console gamers, the event will be available in the Discover tab early. If you can’t make it to your console or PC, you still have options! With Fortnite back on Apple, you can join the event on iOS devices. Android users won’t be left out either and can also participate in the Galactic Battle finale.

If you’re unable to log in, don’t worry. You can still engage through Twitch! A new extension called Galactic Battle launches on May 29, enabling viewers to collect visual Fortnite items while watching participating creators. Accumulate all the items to unlock five Star Wars-themed Sprays, and if you link your Twitch and Epic Games accounts, you’ll also snag the exclusive Darth Jar Jar Emoticon.

As your community gathers enough items, creators can launch Takeovers on other Twitch channels, spicing up the streaming experience with chaotic Star Wars battles. Defend your favorite streamer by spamming the “DarthJarJar” emote to thwart their attackers!

Everyone contributing to the community goal by collecting at least one item will also receive the Galactic War Loading Screen once the milestone is achieved.

What to Expect from the Fortnite Death Star Sabotage Live Event

Brace yourself; this is not your ordinary finale. The entire Fortnite Galactic Battle Finale Event is the culmination of an action-packed season. Anticipate an explosive lineup including cinematic moments, thrilling gameplay, and a pivotal battle against the Death Star.

Leading up to June 7, players can jump into the Star Destroyer Bombardment. Starting May 29 with update v35.20, a rift gate will appear in Battle Royale and Zero Build matches. Step through it to find yourself on a Star Destroyer. Your team will operate its turbolasers, unleashing devastating fire upon the island below, similar to the iconic Godzilla event in Fortnite.

If you’re on the ground, proceed with caution! The Star Destroyer’s wrath can lay waste to structures and harm anyone beneath. Plus, there’s plenty of free loot to grab! Log in between June 3 at 9 AM ET and June 10 at 6:00 AM PT to unlock the Assault on the Death Star Loading Screen and the Quicksilver Baton Spear Pickaxe, a prized weapon of Captain Phasma.

Gather your squad and seize a Star Destroyer this week to hone your skills and dive deeper into the Star Wars theme leading up to the grand finale.
