Ultimate Guide to Finding Red Buttons in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Get ready, Disney Dreamlight Valley fans! The highly anticipated Dreamlight Parks Fest event is back, running from May 28 to June 17. Over the next three weeks, you’ll embark on a treasure hunt to collect buttons, craft popcorn buckets, and grab Magic Kingdom maps to decorate your home. However, here’s the catch: red buttons can be particularly elusive.

Wondering where to find red buttons? How do you utilize them? How many do you really need to unlock every reward in the Dreamlight Parks Fest event? Let’s explore these questions in detail.

How to find red buttons during Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Parks Fest event

During the Dreamlight Parks Fest event, you’ll discover red buttons scattered on the ground around villager houses. While they’re not abundant, you may occasionally spot these sparkling buttons as you wander near your favorite characters’ homes.

These buttons resemble small red and white buttons featuring Mickey Mouse’s silhouette. As you approach them, they sparkle, helping you distinguish them from flowers, dig spots, and other collectibles. You can find up to ten red buttons spawning at once, with new ones appearing every five to ten minutes.

Additionally, these buttons can only be located in Dreamlight Valley; visiting the Rift in Time’s Eternity Isle or The Storybook Vale biomes will not yield any. This limitation can actually save you valuable time in your search.

Easiest way to obtain red buttons

If you’re a veteran of previous Dreamlight Parks Fest events, there’s an easier route to obtaining red buttons. Utilize the Cheshire Cat’s Uncrafting Machine to dismantle your popcorn buckets. Just insert a popcorn bucket, pay its Dreamlight cost, and wait a few minutes. You can reclaim the buttons and remold them to receive your event rewards. Repeat this with each bucket for an efficient button collection.

However, keep in mind that this method won’t apply to the Dug or Mine Cart Popcorn Buckets, as they weren’t part of the 2024 event. Nonetheless, you can still use this trick with five out of the seven available buckets, allowing you to work on crafting the Dug and Mine Cart Popcorn Buckets after finishing their prerequisite quests.

How to use red buttons during Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Parks Fest event

Red buttons are essential for crafting popcorn buckets and purple buttons. Here’s a quick breakdown of all crafting recipes that involve red buttons:

Recipe Materials
Purple Button Blue Button (1) Red Button (2) Dreamlight (100)
Cinderella Popcorn Bucket Green Button (40) Blue Button (15) Red Button (10) Purple Button (5)
Figment Popcorn Bucket Green Button (40) Flower Button (20) Red Button (10) Purple Button (5)
Pooh’s Popcorn Bucket Green Button (40) Flower Button (20) Blue Button (15) Red Button (10)
Mine Cart Popcorn Bucket Green Button (40) Blue Button (15) Red Button (10) Purple Button (5)

To craft all four of those popcorn buckets plus the purple button, you will need a total of 70 red buttons. Adding in the requirements for the other three buckets brings your grand total to 100 red buttons to complete the Dreamlight Parks Fest event. Using the Uncrafting Station can simplify this, but you’ll still need additional buttons to create the Dug and Mine Cart Popcorn Buckets. Good luck!
