Fernhill Forest marks your initial step into the world of Dig. Notably, it’s the only location without a boss character.
Cinder Cavern
Cinder Cavern is a crucial hub in Dig. Within its depths lies a boss, an enchantment area, a shovel shrine, and a buff workshop. Utilize the elevator to access the first floor and acquire the Magnet Shovel.
Verdant Vale
In Verdant Vale, you’ll encounter the formidable Fuzzball boss flower. Engage with the flower to summon this tough adversary. This area also features a sub-area called Silver’s Farm, filled with exciting quests.
Rooftop Woodlands
Searching for the Spore Spade Shovel? Head over to Rooftop Woodlands. Here, alongside the shovel, you’ll find a boss, engaging quests, and the path to acquiring the Enchantment Tome.
Mount Cinder

Cinder Shores
Located on the west side of the map, Cinder Shores features the Dig creator Woozynate, a merchant, and a totem shop. There’s also an NPC offering Prismatic Magnets for completing simple quests.
Copper Mesa
The second island, Copper Mesa, is filled with unique creatures and late-game items, resembling an aesthetic from Dune Awakening. You’ll encounter the Basilisk and Molten Monstrosity bosses while exploring its depths.

Fox Town
Fox Town serves as the starting area for all players. Here, you’ll find a merchant for shovels, a bank, a charm shop, a garage, and initial loot for digging. The Charm Chisel, aiding in rerolling charm stats, is also located here. Keep in mind that while highlighted, Fox Town doesn’t have its own journal.
O’Myers Secret Shop
Hidden within Fernhill Forest lies O’Myers Secret Shop, accessible at coordinates 1918, 82, 298. There, you’ll discover three totems for additional gameplay enhancements.
Combat Guild
The Combat Guild, located at 2511, 84, 1293, is an essential stop for gaining quests that reward money and XP. Here, also find the Slayers Shovel, Regen Coil, and Horns, invaluable for your adventures.
Lighthouse
Situated at the western edge of Fernhill Forest, the Lighthouse is home to the Hiker’s Bag charm, aiding in increasing your carry load. You will also find Sydney here, who provides a quest for the Sydney’s Katana charm.
Monks Workshop
Located within the maze of Cinder Cavern, the Monks Workshop houses several monk NPCs and a statue. Offering Gold Nuggets or a Gold Cart to the statue grants you Jin’s Blessing buff, boosting your luck by 2 for one hour.
Azure Hollow
To reach Azure Hollow, follow the blue mushrooms in Cinder Cavern on the first floor. You will discover a Discoshroom providing the Mushroom Sit emote and a merchant. The enchantment station here is the area’s most vital feature.
Enchantment Area
The Enchantment Area can be found near a stone with a distinct painting. To enchant a shovel, secure the Enchantment Tome and visit this essential spot in Dig.
Spiders Keep
In this vital area of Dig, the Cinder Cavern Spider boss awaits. Follow the cobwebbed path in the cavern maze to find your way.
Solstice Shrine
The Solstice Shrine, hidden within Cinder Cavern, is where you can obtain the Solstice Shovel. Once you gather three Basilisks, head here to claim the most powerful Dig shovel.
Silver’s Farm
Silver’s Farm is rich with quests, including tasks for the Banjo charm, the Farmer’s Hat charm, and even a new Harvester vehicle. This area also contains the Jam Shovel, significantly boosting your digging efficiency.
Graveyard
In the Graveyard, the Candlelight Phantom boss can be found. Additionally, there’s an NPC here who provides a Ghostbuster quest that rewards the Ectoplasm Sleeve charm.
Dark Wizard Odd Tower
If you’re struggling to locate the Enchantment Tome in Dig, navigate to Rooftop Woodlands and find the Dark Wizard Odd Tower at coordinates 4400, 226, -630. Remember, this character only appears during summer nights.
Cinder Approach
To access Mount Cinder, traverse the Cinder Approach. This location, situated between Rooftop Woodlands and Mount Cinder, is known for meteor spawns during the Meteor Shower event, offering rewards like the Celestial Totem, Blood Crown charm, or Starfire Shovel.
Tom’s Bakery
Just around the corner from Cinder Approach, you’ll find Tom’s Bakery at coordinates 5615, 245, -69. Completing his quests rewards you with various buff items and unlocks the Shortcake Shovel.
Upper Mount Cinder
The barren Upper Mount Cinder is quiet, but if you ascend far enough, you’ll spot an Emergency Flare gun at 4665, 1391, -2334. This useful gun can transport you back to Fox Town from anywhere on the map.
Pizza Penguin
At the northern tip of Mount Cinder, discover the Pizza Penguin shop. Engage in delivery quests that reward money and XP. Upon reaching certain milestones, you’ll also unlock the Arcane Totem and Pizza Roller Shovel.
Glacial Hollow
Glacial Hollow, a stunning cave within Mount Cinder, houses numerous valuable collectibles. Venture deeper into the cave for hidden treasures.
Glacial Cavern
Deeper inside the Glacial Hollow lies the Glacial Cavern area. It’s the location where you can acquire the Frigid Shovel.
Emergency Rescuer
As you ascend the eastern side of Mount Cinder, look for an NPC who stands guard, offering another emergency flare gun located at 5760, 1142, -3760.
Cinder Ferry
Once you’ve completed 50% of the Mount Cinder journal, you can access the Cinder Ferry. Speak with the NPC at the ferry dock to receive a ticket, your gateway to Copper Mesa in Dig.
