A completely new television anime adaptation of Ranma 1/2 will begin airing on October 5th, and the second promotional video has been released. The opening theme, “Yui Hanakkun” (Yui’s Love), sung by ano, has also been unveiled for the first time.

Additionally, the illustration for the limited production edition jacket of “Yui Hanakkun” has been revealed. Created by MAPPA, the vibrant illustration features a plethora of characters, showcasing a lively scene.

ano is depicted in a Ranma-style illustration, and she expressed her excitement on X, calling it “an adorable original jacket illustration.” Fans have responded with enthusiasm, saying things like, “I’m so happy to see ano-chan in the world of Ranma that I’m crying,” “ano-chan’s drawing is so cute it could be a character in Ranma,” “ano-chan looks like a cute character and is part of Ranma now,” “I want to see her unleash her special move,” and “the tongue sticking out is perfectly recreated.”

The key visual for the completely new Ranma 1/2 anime adaptation captures the essence of the series, depicting the daily life of high school student Ranma Saotome, who turns into a girl when splashed with water, and his fiancée, Akane Tendo, alongside a cast of characters involved in their romantic martial arts comedy. The original television anime aired from 1989 to 1992, followed by theatrical films and OVAs. In 2011, a live-action drama adaptation starred Yui Aragaki as Akane.
