Discover How Kagurabachi Strongly Parallels Jujutsu Kaisen Character

The ongoing “Sword Bearer Assassination” arc in “Kagurabachi” starts with Chihiro wanting to join Kamunabi. Not only that, but Hakuri’s newly awakened power proves to be extremely useful as Chihiro seeks to connect with previous users of the Enchanted Blades (extremely powerful katanas forged by Chihiro Rokuhira) to transport these swords out of Hishaku.

This part introduces Hiruhiko, one of the main members of the Hishaku sorcerer group (a small criminal group made up of elite sorcerers who killed Kunishige and stole six Enchanted Blades). He is a brutal villain, battle-hungry, always seeking thrills in fighting and slaughtering.

“Kagurabachi” chapter 52 sheds more light on Hiruhiko and his connection with Chihiro, reminding fans of the relationship between Yuji and Mahito in “Jujutsu Kaisen”.

In particular, “Kagurabachi” chapter 52 ends with Hiruhiko saying that he is the only one who can understand Chihiro, which deeply disturbs Chihiro. Meanwhile, in “Jujutsu Kaisen”, Mahito often talks about how similar he and Yuji are.

Regarding this parallelism, a well-known “Kagurabachi” translator shared, “I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees the similarity between Hiruhiko and Mahito, especially with their similar faces…”

At the same time, fans have definitely noticed the resemblance between the two villains from “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Kagurabachi”. One fan commented, “Hokazono has completely outdone all villains so far. And Hiruhiko is definitely a Mahito parallel, I love him!”

I’m really looking forward to Hiruhiko!! And I hope people see him as his own character rather than a ‘reincarnation’ of Mahito,” another fan shared.

Someone also commented, “I really like how Hiruhiko challenges Chihiro. He wants to show Chihiro just how similar they are, while Chihiro refuses to consider that possibility. It reminds me a lot of the relationship between Yuji and Mahito.”
