To Be Hero X: Starring Mamoru Miyano, Kana Hanazawa, and Yuichi Nakamura

A new anime, TO BE HERO X, co-produced by Bilibili and Aniplex, has been announced to air on Fuji TV in 2025. To coincide with this announcement, the first promotional video has been released. The star-studded voice cast, including Mamoru Miyano and Kana Hanazawa, has also been revealed. Furthermore, in addition to Hiroyuki Sawano being in charge of the main theme, the music staff for each episode has also been announced.

TO BE HERO X is an anime set in a world where heroes with extraordinary abilities are celebrated. It’s a tale of superheroes born from “trust.” The series is created and directed by Haolin, a renowned Chinese animation director known for his work on various projects such as LINK CLICK and TO BE HERO. Haolin has a wide range of experience, having directed the series and scripts for LINK CLICK and TO BE HERO, served as the general director for the anthology drama anime/donghua Flavors of Youth, and directed the anime adaptation of the novel Heaven Official’s Blessing. This new work is a testament to his diverse capabilities.

The Aniplex Online Fest 2024 on September 16th brought us this exciting news, including the release of the first PV for TO BE HERO X and the announcement of its main voice cast.

In a world where a hero’s ranking is determined by public trust, Natsuki Hanae will voice “Nice,” the perfect and invincible 10th-rank hero. Shimazuki Nobugana will play “E-Soul,” the 9th-rank  hero who inherits the blue flash. Koichi Yamadera will voice “A-Hu,” the tough-as-nails superdog ranked 8th. Inori Minase will be the voice of “Lucky Cyan,” the 7th-rank hero whose singing brings good fortune. And Ayane Sakura will play “Loli,” the genius mechanic girl ranked 6th.

Additionally, Matsuoka Yoshitsugu will voice “Little Johnny,” the 5th-rank hero who represents an unbreakable bond between humans and beasts. Yuichi Nakamura will portray “GhostBlade,” the silent assassin who can silence even words, ranked 4th. Uchiyama Kouki will play “Dragon Boy,” the 3rd-rank outsider with an unyielding spirit and burning ambition. Kana Hanazawa will voice “Queen,” the solitary queen aiming for the top, ranked 2nd. And Mamoru Miyano will play “X,” the top hero known and unknown to all.

In addition to Hiroyuki Sawano, who will be composing the main theme “JEOPARDY,” the music staff for each episode has also been announced. A total of eight renowned artists, including KOHTA YAMAMOTO, Kenmochi Hidefumi, DAIKI (AWSM.), Mutsuki Shuhei, Fukasawa Hideyuki, Umase Misaki, and Ryuichi Takada (MONACA), will be contributing to the soundtrack. We eagerly anticipate the unique music that will be created for each episode.

Fans can now hear the voices of their favorite heroes in the newly released first PV! With 10 new character visuals unveiled, the anticipation for the 2025 broadcast is reaching fever pitch.
