On the October 16th broadcast of MBC’s “Radio Star” featuring Kim Byung-man, Kim Jaejoong, Kim Dong-jun and Cao Lu, the topic of FIESTAR’s recent reunion came up.
Cao Lu shared the reason behind the reunion, “The members really love performing. I suggested the idea of reuniting, and I could see their eyes light up. But they said ‘We never reached number one, so no company will release a song for us’, and that made me more determined.”
When asked about her success in live commerce in China, Cao Lu revealed, “I bought the rights to our song ‘You’re Pitiful’, which came the closest to reaching number one. We rearranged it and re-released a remake version.”
Cao Lu expressed her thanks to many people who helped with the reunion. She said, “The album production seemed daunting, but producer Rhymer helped us release it on time. Also, we and IU worked together on ‘Sea Of Moonlight’. She pushed us a lot during our past activities, but we didn’t get to the top, so I felt really sorry. That’s why I didn’t even tell her about the reunion. But not long after our comeback song was released, she promoted us on her personal SNS.“
Finally, Cao Lu mentioned the late Shinsadong Tiger, “Talking about him gets me emotional. When we were producing the album with our own money, we asked if he could lower the fee for the song rights, and he gave us an unbelievably low price. Thanks to him, we were able to make a comeback.”
