On October 12, Hwang Jung-eum showcased a relaxed demeanor while shrugging her shoulders and saying, “I’m solo”.
During the meeting, Shin Dong-yup asked, “I’m really curious about this: can you date someone while in a lawsuit?”
Hwang Jung-eum responded, “I called my lawyer first and asked, ‘Is this a problem?’ They said, ‘No problem at all!’”
Shin Dong-yup joked, “It feels like you’ve almost been divorced twice now, I thought you were remarried,” which elicited laughter from everyone.
Hwang Jung-eum shaked her head and stated, “I will never marry again”. She firmly added, “Being solo is a freedom. It’s just a blessing”. Shin Dong-yup playfully responded, “Do I have to pretend to be jealous of being single again?”
Hwang Jung-eum has been cast as the MC for SBS Plus’s “I Like Solo” which is set to premiere at the end of October, joining forces with the popular host Shin Dong-yup.
In February, Hwang Jung-eum filed for divorce from her husband, Lee Young-don, a businessman and former professional golfer, with whom she has 2 sons. Following their previous reconciliation after overcoming a divorce crisis, the news of their divorce lawsuit shocked everyone, especially when Hwang Jung-eum revealed that the reason for the split was Lee Young-don’s infidelity.
In the midst of this, she mistakenly identified a regular person as the affair partner, leading to a lawsuit from the woman.
Last month, she acknowledged her relationship with basketball player Kim Jong-kyu, but they broke up just 2 weeks after going public.
