The three stars, who appeared in the film Ordinary Family, discussed various topics with PD Na Young-seok in a video titled “Families Who Don’t Joke Around” on the YouTube channel “Channel 15.”

Jang Dong-gun recalled his debut in the 1992 drama Son and Daughter, saying, “I shot scenes holding wildflowers in the bushes.” He added that he joined MBC as a trainee and had many unique experiences, including filming while holding branches and straw. Son and Daughter also starred Kim Hee-ae.

Seol Kyung-gu shared that he was rejected in the MBC talent audition. He expressed his frustration, saying, “I graduated from the theater and film department, but my application was overlooked because it got stuck in the pile.” He later received an opportunity through renowned writer Jung Sung-joo.

Jang Dong-gun mentioned rumors in the industry about Seol Kyung-gu, saying, “There was gossip that a newcomer had joined and acted strangely.” Seol Kyung-gu later learned about this from Jang Dong-gun.

Kim Hee-ae reflected on her early acting career, revealing that she considered retiring at 20 due to doubts about her path. She recalled the challenging filming conditions of that time, stating, “Everything was primitive. We had to shoot while riding a cart that could lose a wheel on a slope at any moment,” adding that there were many dangerous situations that made her feel she might die. She explained how her love for acting grew, leading her to return to the industry after a seven-year hiatus following her marriage.

The actors also discussed Ordinary Family. Jang Dong-gun explained their family roles in the film, saying, “Despite the complicated conflicts, our family shows a strong human connection.” Kim Hee-ae described the movie as depicting how an ordinary family changes due to specific circumstances.

Their relationship with PD Na Young-seok was also highlighted. Na recalled filming Sisters Over Flowers with Kim Hee-ae a decade ago and expressed his admiration for her long career, which began in the 1980s. Kim Hee-ae reflected, “Time goes by so quickly. Looking back, 10 or 20 years feels like a moment.”
