Korean Singer Exposes Former CEO for Making Her Sing at Karaoke Every Day at 3am

On September 23rd, a video was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Weekly Trot’, with the singer Gil Gun as a guest.

Gil Gun appeared and introduced herself as a singer with 20 years of experience as she debuted in 2004. The singer recalled, “I was a dancer for about three years. Eun Ji-won, GOD, and Lee Hyo-ri, I worked with all of them,” adding, “The CEO who debuted DJ DOC told the staff to make me a solo artist, so I suddenly made my debut as a solo artist after six months.” “I was deceived by his lies of making me the Beyonce of Korea,” she said. “At the time of signing the contract, he looked at my body and said, ‘Don’t lose weight, let’s debut as it is,’ but the moment I signed the contract, he made me go on a diet.”

Gil Gun also recalled the hard times, saying, “The CEO was doing karaoke as his second business. He called me there every dawn and made me sing (to strangers), saying, ‘They are going to invest in you.’ I went home at 2 a.m. and I was exhausted, but I had to leave at 3 a.m.”

Gil Gun said, “I made only one condition with him. I said, ‘If you don’t make me sell my body, I’ll sign the contract,’” adding, “So once I asked him, ‘Why are you treating me like this?’ and he said, ‘Am I not keeping my promise to not make you sell your body?’” which shocked viewers.
