Jung Ye-won, one of the “Three Siblings” who gained fame from their appearance on JTBC’s “Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast,” recently shared some behind-the-scenes details about her invitation to IU‘s concert. The singer held a solo performance at Sangam World Cup Stadium on September 21st and 22nd, and among the special guests were Jung Ye-won and her siblings.
On her personal channel on the 23rd, Jung recounted her experience at the concert. During IU’s performance of “Shh…,” Jung Ye-won was surprised to see her own face appear on the giant screens. “I couldn’t believe I was up there on the screen!“, she exclaimed.
Recalling a conversation with IU, Jung Ye-won shared, “I told her, ‘Wow, I can’t believe you included me on the screen.’ I honestly didn’t expect it, thinking I might be left out given how many people are in your circle. It really touched me.”
IU’s response was heartwarming. “Of course I included you,” the idol-actress said, adding, “I personally reached out to everyone I wanted to invite. I’m the one who’s touched that you accepted!”
Jung Ye-won also mentioned receiving an email about the use of her photos for the concert. She explained that for this encore performance of IU’s world tour, the production team aimed to showcase images of female musicians, junior artists, and colleagues whom IU admires and respects.
The connection between IU and the “Three Siblings” dates back to 2017, when Jung Ye-won appeared on “Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast” alongside her older sister Jung Kyung-hwa and younger brother Jung Ha-min. Since then, Jung Ye-won has launched her own singing career, debuting in 2019. The friendship between IU and the siblings has endured, with IU previously inviting them to her 2024 concert as well.
