No Gain No Love: What a fun premiere! I love when dramas lean into the cheesiness with the onscreen graphics, sound effects, and imagined scenarios. Shin Mina’s tablecloth wedding gown + dry heaving when the bride and groom kissed was gold. Also, points for this drama having our leads already know each other and skipping the introductions. So rare for a romcom of this nature.

Love Next Door: I wasn’t thrilled by every turn we took this week, but I like our leading couple so much — and am so invested in their individual journeys — that I can overlook the parts I’m less excited about long enough to get back to the good stuff. I did catch myself tuning out a few times, though, only to be drawn back in by the next big satisfying emotional moment.
