The press conference of TVING’s original series “Pyramid Game” was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul at 2 p.m. on February 26th with the attendance of director Park So-yeon, Kim Ji-yeon, Ryu Da-in, Shin Seul-ki, and Kang Na-eon. Jang Da-ah was absent from the event because she was diagnosed with COVID-19.
Kim Ji-yeon, also known as WJSN’s Bona, plays the role of Seong Su-ji, who becomes a victim of school violence right after transferring to the new school and leads a rebellion.
Kim Ji-yeon said, “I tried to synchronize with the original work as much as possible. While acting, I focused on both the original character and the character Seong Su-ji that I portrayed”, adding “School violent scenes are all acting but I felt very heartbroken during the shoots. I once again thought that it should disappear. Adults should pay more attention to it”.
“Pyramid Game” depicts the survival battle in Class 2-5 of Baekyeon Girls’ High School in which the students participate in a secret vote and get divided into school violent perpetrators, victims, and bystanders according to their ranks.
The drama is based on the popular Naver Webtoon by Dalggonyak, which opened a new world for academic psychological thrillers by introducing such a new and unique worldview.
TVING’s 10-episode series “Pyramid Game” will air the first 4 episodes at 12 p.m. on February 29th, then release two episodes per week every Thursday.
