Halmeoni and Tae-ho have a tearful reunion, and all is well with his world again. Following her advice to stay calm and bide his time, Tae-ho doesn’t oppose Tae-min’s promotion to vice chairman — but he declares his intention to eventually compete for the chairmanship position with Tae-min. Halmeoni also makes moves of her own by spreading the rumor that she is still alive among the directors, and revealing herself to the chairman of TV Live. She has proof of illegalities at TV Live and she gives the chairman an ultimatum to either side with her instead of Sook-hyang, or the information will go public. In the meantime, Soo-kyung storms out of the Kang family home, and divorce is on the horizon for her and Tae-min.
On Hyo-shim’s side, her mom stubbornly forges ahead with opening a cafe, and it looks like she’s taking her newly developed independent life goals really seriously. Hyo-sung inadvertently spills to his wife and Ru-bi that Hyo-shim is dating a chaebol heir, and the ladies begin to plan for their future with Taesan Group’s funds. Tsk. Hyo-shim’s boss also finds out that she’s dating Tae-ho, but our long-suffering heroine chooses to quit the job she’d had for ten years rather than tell her boyfriend to find a new gym. Since the client in question is THE Kang Tae-ho, the boss opts to delete the clause prohibiting trainers from dating clients. But Hyo-shim is not particularly pleased that no one cares about what she really wants, everyone is just pushing her to get married to Tae-ho so they can curry favors from her.
Speaking of currying favors, Hyo-do visits Taesan Group to see Tae-min, but he’s kicked out by security. Soo-kyung is also kicked out of the gym when she comes to slap Hyo-shim for breaking up her marriage. Fed up with everything, Hyo-shim returns the slap (!), and heads to her mom’s cafe to cry in her arms. Sook-hyang and Mr. Yeom drum up an embezzlement scandal with the scholarship fund scheme, and Tae-ho gets arrested as a result. Oh dear! Perhaps now that Mi-rim has given up on her actress dreams, she can return to her law firm to defend Tae-ho from the cooked-up charges.
