If you’ve been watching dramas for a decent length of time, it’s almost for certain that they’ve infected your brain — yes, like a zombie virus — in terms of your expectations on real life.
Sometimes this is for the worst and yields an embarrassing amount of disappointment (because no, you likely won’t have numerous dashing and earnest suitors clamoring after your awesomeness all at once). But sometimes it’s for the better: for instance, you can have a headache and have it just be a headache. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. Also the chances of that white truck hitting you are pretty slim.
However, if you’re good at sinking into a story — and used to the K-drama oeuvre — we need an occasional reminder that they are 110% fiction. And luckily, sometimes dramas make that realization easy for us.
