Team Dramabeans: What We’re Watching – A Quirky Case for Dramaddicts

So, what are we all watching this week?

What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

Today’s Webtoon: While I’m still really enjoying it, I do wish they’d kept this shorter. I feel like they’ve added unnecessary melodrama to certain arcs to try to fill out the 16 episodes.

Little Women: Wow, is this nothing like I expected, but I kind of love it. The unsettling music and angles, the cinematic shots – it’s so well made and oddly disconcerting which is not a word I thought I’d apply to anything associated with Little Women.

Adamas: …What. I can’t even with that ending.

Once Upon a Small Town: This is just the dose of cute and breezy I need in my week.

Little Women: I love the details in the set design and the psychology of the story. I dislike both of the older sisters but find them written to be believably human. I felt hooked until Episode 4. I understand this is a bit of a fantasy but I just can’t buy that a person in In-joo’s position would be so careless with the money.

The Devil Judge: I’m late to this particular party, but I’m having a belated blast. I’m a couple of episodes in, and this show has two things in abundance that will always make me tolerant of any other flaw: style and ridiculousness in spades. I came for Kim Min-jung, who is quite possibly my favorite actor in the whole world, and I have not been disappointed: as ever, she radiates charisma and poise. Ji Sung, meanwhile, has me laughing with uncontrollable glee every time he does something especially audacious. The plot so far is utter, elaborate chaos, as is only good and proper in a show that cites Faust as one of its inspirations. Suffice it to say, I am going to revel in every episode.
