Team Dramabeans: Our Current Watchlist

So, what are we all watching this week?

What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

Currently covering: Yumi’s Cells 2

Kiss Sixth Sense: I’m still trying to decide if my fatigue of the childhood trauma backstory has been appeased by the cool twist that Ye-sool misinterpreted her visions and subsequently destroyed her relationship all on her own. Also, the bar she frequents is called Que Sera Sera… I can’t help but think that’s the eventual moral of our story.

Currently covering: Woori the Virgin, Why Her?

Kiss Sixth Sense: I’ve watched a lot of workplace dramas over the years, but very rarely do I actually see the characters work or feel involved with whatever project they’re completing. And even more rarely do I actually care about said project. So I think it’s worth mentioning that I actually enjoy the job-related scenes almost as much as I do the romantic moments, and I just love this idea that Ye-sool’s work on the current commercial is incorporating parts of the commercial her father created. I mean, did I see it coming after they revealed that Ji-young acted in both? You bet, but this is the kind of predictability I can get behind. I hate that this week’s episodes ended on a cliffhanger, though. I NEED MORE!!!!

Shooting Stars: I enjoyed the lightness of this drama, but now that it’s over, I can’t say that it’s a story that will stick with me for a long time.

Unit

Red Heart: Wow! I didn’t think the dowager had that much ruthlessness in her. Also, Tae has a partner as formidable as Jung and he doesn’t think to carry her along in his plans? Now she has lost someone she cares about due to his one sided plans. Again. Let’s see how he explains his way out of this one.

Our Blues: Dong-suk + mum + Sun-ah were my least favorite stories, but it all came together for Dong-suk in the end, and that counts for something. It was also nice to see some old faces return in the ending, and I’m really thrilled that Young-joo had a baby girl. God knows they needs another female in that testosterone filled household.

It’s Beautiful Now: Hyun-jae and Yoon-jae running into each other with their girlfriends was my highlight of the week! And now that everyone has been properly introduced, can we get an actual double date already? I don’t mind the show sacrificing Mi-rae’s family’s screentime for more couple scenes.

Link: Eat, Love, Kill: Yeo Jin-gu finally has some chemistry with his female lead. Hooray!
