Team Dramabeans: What We’re Watching || Missvictrix, Daebak, Grits

So, what are we all watching this week?

What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

My Liberation Notes: What happened to my hot, sweaty, silent Gu? I feel like I could hardly recognize him this week. And yet it pulls into that whole nature versus city dichotomy I was rambling on about last week. He changes based on his surroundings. And that he told Mi-jung to move to the city… dude, stop breaking my heart. Aside from Gu taking up most of my brain, I just loved the HR lady joining the Liberation Club! She represented everything fake and superficial earlier on in the drama, so I love love love that we are getting to see inside her. I like the message that sends.

Shooting Stars: So much fun with allll the love lines in Episode 9 exploding out of nowhere! Shi-deok’s sudden attraction to Ho-young was totally unexpected but I love it. I love it more than the main couple, even though they were adorbs, and I’m glad they finally got together. Now to deal with all the random press leaks, runaway mothers, and suspicious housekeepers!

Showtime Begins!: Shout out to this drama for fooling me into thinking (for a little while) that our demonically possessed serial killer was the murderer in this week’s case. It probably helped that the actor playing the husband is usually typecast as someone who isn’t smart enough to effectively cover up a murder. I was equally surprised that he somehow managed to “live” after falling off that building, but it fits with the overall goofiness of the drama, which is part of its appeal for me. Still getting a huge kick out of this one, and I’ve been making it my priority when my drama watching time seems to be a bit limited. Can’t wait until we find out more about our leading couple’s past lives!

Shooting Stars: My most notable thoughts from this week’s episodes: “Ok, but for real…Who is this shifty housekeeper who isn’t really a housekeeper?” and “Oh. My. GAWD! A Find Me in Your Memory reference! Ahhhh!
