So, what are we all watching this week?
What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

You Are My Spring: I’m so confused and so intrigued. There’s this eerie undercurrent beneath so many interactions, especially when they involve Yoon Park squared, but I can’t quite pinpoint why I find things so unsettling. It almost feels like I’m in a house of mirrors, unsure of what’s a reflection and what’s real.
On the Verge of Insanity: I nearly dropped this show in the early part of its run; the show felt too true-to-life, but in a way that was dreary and not exactly fun to watch. I’m glad I stuck with it though because the drama’s really found its groove. It’s kept all the elements that made the Hanmyeong Electronics feel like any big company you could find in Korea, yet there’s more levity to go along with the rising stakes. I so love Moon Sori in this, especially after her drunken escapades last week and her growing dilemma over what to do about Jung Jae-young.

Imitation: I’ve been hearing way too much about this drama…. I had to dig in. I’ve only watched three episodes so far, but it was exactly what I was hoping for: delicious fluff that you just watch grinning the entire time. Sure, an idol drama requires the suspension of disbelief that there are people out there that truly want that life for themselves, and while I could never be one of them, the drama makes it easy to identify with our main characters — whether it’s the struggling Ma-ha and OMEGA3/Tea Party, or the already-successful Shax (these names, lol!). I must have re-watched Ryok and Ma-ha’s little impromptu onstage TV performance from Episode 3 about fifty times. So much squeeeee.
