So, what are we all watching this week?
What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

Racket Boys: This little gem feels like it was sent to me directly by the drama gods in answer to my pleas. Most of my dramas over the last few months were either dark and murder-y, or sad tear-jerkers, and I’ve been desperate to have a show that would be sweet and entertaining. Racket Boys is the drama equivalent of a puppy wrapped up in rainbows and light and I can’t get enough of it.
Monthly Magazine Home: I don’t quite understand how Jung So-min manages to be so winning and charming, even when she’s playing someone so down on her luck, but I love it. Kim Ji-suk is also definitely playing to type here, but he’s just so good at playing a jerk with a heart of gold that I can’t complain. I’m getting shades of Because This Life Is Our First so far, which is making me optimistic even if I’m not 100% hooked yet.
Running Man: What a bittersweet episode. I can’t believe it’s been eleven years since the show premiered and that Lee Kwang-soo is now officially a former cast member. I still remember watching the first episode and wondering who the tall guy with the bowtie was. He then turned into such a strong variety presence that it’s difficult to picture Running Man without him. I hate to say goodbye, but I’m grateful for all the laughs. Farewell Prince of Asia!

At a Distance, Spring is Green: I like the contemplative vibe of this drama and its more measured view of youth. I already feel for poor Joon with his awful, abusive family and am looking forward to him winning Soo-hyun over. It makes sense that Joon would be determined to have as a friend the one person who wants nothing from him. I don’t feel quite as connected to the other characters yet, but I am interested to delve into their stories more.
