Team Dramabeans: What We’re Watching – Dramallama, Miss Victrix, Quirky Case

So, what are we all watching this week?

What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

Mouse: So. Many. Brains. I was not expecting so much brain-time in Mouse, and though I finally get where the drama name is coming from, it’s all a bit much. I’m not sure what to make of the combination of unrelenting darkness and ridiculousness. Maybe I should just switch off my brain and enjoy the acting…

Navillera: This show brings me joy! The scant selection of fun and enjoyable dramas recently is a shame, but this uplifting little gem is making me forget about this dry season. Chae-rok and Deok-chul are an adorable pair, and I love them very much.

Oh! Master: Fun, familiar, reliable. I welcome a classic cohabitation rom-com, but I’m wary that this may become boring. Nothing feels really sparky yet, but I’m hopeful that the rom-com gears will turn up soon. It’s Lee Min-ki and Nana, afterall.

Vincenzo: I’m ambivalent about this show. Taec had some great acting moments, I enjoy Jeon Yeo-bin, and Song Joong-ki is pretty. I sometimes laugh out loud and other times am annoyed by the show’s grab bag plot. But I keep tuning in every week, and I’ll probably stick with it through this drama drought.

Currently weecapping: Oh! Master

Beyond Evil: I’m starting to think everybody even remotely related to this town has a criminal record. So many people are involved in the crimes and coverups that it’s amazing nothing has leaked before now.

Navillera: This drama is just so heartwarming. I love how supportive Chae-rok was this week and how he and Deok-chul are starting to become like family. They’re just so cute together. I’m glad most of Deok-chul’s family is coming around, but his oldest son needs to chill. The way he whines and makes everything about him is insufferable.

Sisyphus: Yes, sideline the girl who can actually fight and has been saving your butt this whole time. Brilliant plan.
