- An old school drama
There were a few dramas that my parents would watch after renting video tapes from the local Korean supermarket, and it bothers me that I don’t know the names of the shows. I have vivid recollections of specific scenes but my parents don’t recall what they are.
There are two scenes in particular, and the drama was from 2006 or earlier. They may be from two different dramas and the descriptions are super vague, so sorry in advance!
In one scene, the parents are fighting, and their little girl asks them to stop fighting please, so they stop.
In another scene, girl and a guy are fighting then the girl decides to go into the ocean to drown herself. The guy goes into the water after her.
- A false accusation
A high school boy was murdered years ago, and I think this high school boy was the main character’s brother.
The boy was accused of raping a girl–but he had not raped the girl. If my memory serves me right, I think it was a group of students that raped her instead (they may also have been on the school’s student council). The evidence of the true culprits was on a red scarf that the girl wore on the day of the rape.
- The exit not taken
It’s a small scene that I really would like to rewatch if I could remember which drama it’s from. Basically, the female lead doesn’t know how to drive and the male lead is teaching her. While on the road, he tells her to make a turn at the next exit. She doesn’t because she is too scared to make a turn. In a funny way, he grows increasingly upset as she keeps going on missing several exits. If anyone could help, I’d really appreciate it.
- An emotional moment on a PPL bed
This drama involves a couple having a childhood connection remembering the all details of their past together. The girlfriend finds it difficult to fall asleep at night, so her boyfriend insists on spending the night with her to comfort her. It’s an awkward night and neither one can sleep, so she uses the remote control on her fancy bed to raise the angle of the bed and switches on the TV. They awkwardly watch TV while commenting on how good the bed is.
- An anti-PPL scene
The female lead is driving around Seoul with her friends and the brand of her fancy car is revealed as they drive. But the normal evening suddenly transforms into a dangerous encounter when the car comes under attack. Her friends jump out the car and begin fighting. A few scenes later, the heroine gets shot when a bullet pierces her fancy car.
