So, what are we all watching this week?
What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

My Unfamiliar Family: Fiiiiiinally!!! Eun-hee and Chan-hyuk are adorable as they awkwardly try to figure out their transition into more than friends, and I am living for their little moments of anticipation. I’m also surprisingly drawn in by Mom and Dad’s relationship, which uses regret as a vehicle to tell their love story. I found Ji-woo’s sudden departure a bit… sudden. It’s a shame that Ji-woo didn’t get the same attention or screen time as the rest of the family, and I hope his storyline turns out to be just as compelling as his family’s stories with the remaining time.
It’s Okay to Not Be Okay: I love this show. Drunk and flirty off-leash Kang-tae was my favorite, and the Mang-tae fight was pure gold. This show knows how to tell a bangin’ story, and I just know it’s going to break some hearts, including mine.

It’s Okay to Not Be Okay: I really appreciate the pace of Moon-young and Kang-tae’s relationship. They have great chemistry, but I wouldn’t have bought it if their relationship had been too rushed. The slow build makes it clear how and why they’re so affected by each other. Now that Kang-tae has decided to be more proactive with what he wants and stop holding himself back, I’m curious how that’ll impact all his relationships. Obviously, Sang-tae isn’t thrilled with the prospect of a relationship between his brother and Moon-young. I think it’ll be good for them both, though, to see that Kang-tae can have (and deserves) his own life and still be there for Sang-tae. As long as Sang-tae knows his brother won’t abandon him, I don’t think he’ll protest too much.
Train: And somehow, I find myself watching yet another parallel universe drama. I checked this one out mostly because Yoon Shi-yoon and the fact that it’s only 12 episodes. I kind of like that we didn’t dive right into the parallel universes. We got time to know the characters and situation first, which grounded it. With the setup in place, I’m ready (I think) to get into the parallel universe element. I’m not expecting Dark levels of complexity and nuance – all I ask is that it makes some kind of sense.
