My real name is bird-related, and I’m here with words. My avatar is an illustration of me.

What is the first drama that you watched (or the first drama that made an impression)?

The first drama I watched was Winter Sonata. Dubbed in Japanese. It was huge when I was in Japan. You couldn’t escape a 7-11 without hearing Ryu’s My Memory, and I learned early all about the Truck of Doom. After that, my first undubbed drama that grabbed me and wouldn’t let go was Coffee Prince.

Name a job or two that you’ve had in the past.

Art museum librarian.

Have you ever lived a moment that you thought belonged in a drama?

Once in college, I got drama-level drunk and then sauntered over to my current romantic interest’s house with a friend to say hi. Everyone was asleep, so after banging on the door for a while we finally left–but accidentally abandoned the grocery bag we had with us on their front doorstep which contained just a box of tampons. The next day I dropped by to apologize, and there they were, confused and holding up the odd tampon gift that had been left behind by some drunken hygiene fairies.

What’s your favorite drama you recapped?

Go Back Spouses. I thought it was just going to be fun nostalgia time travel hijinks, and instead turned into a drama about missing your mother and regret. I was so happy to be on that journey with everyone else watching.

What drama genres do you especially like?

I enjoy things that make me cry. All genres.

What drama genres do you especially dislike?

I’m not a big medical or legal procedural person, though I can be persuaded if there are fantasy elements. I also tend to shy away from sageuk unless they have some quirky fantasy moments.

What was your major in school?

East Asian Studies, and then Library and Information Science

Favorite non-Korean movie and/or TV show?

Lost, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. And I love horror movies

Which Hallyu celebrity would you actually want to meet and spend an hour with?

Can I just get a phone call from Kim Woo-bin? We don’t have to have a real conversation. He can just read a book over the phone to me. He can even pick the book.
