YG Family Reunites at 2NE1’s Concert: Powerful Display of Solidarity

On the evening of October 4, the 15th-anniversary concert of 2NE1 officially took place in Seoul, South Korea. After eight years since their disbandment, fans finally witnessed the long-awaited moment of 2NE1’s reunion, performing together at a concert organized by YG. Previously, 2NE1 shook the Asian music scene when they announced a tour to commemorate their 15th anniversary. This “homecoming” of the legendary second-generation girl group left fans eagerly anticipating their return.

In front of thousands of fans, 2NE1 made a triumphant return, shining brightly amidst the cheers and encouragement. The group brought back their legendary songs, treating fans to a visually and audibly spectacular musical feast, rekindling the nostalgia of youth.

On K-pop forums, 2NE1 is currently the center of attention. Everyone is filled with excitement at seeing the group together again, especially after a series of seemingly insurmountable challenges.

At the concert, many groups and close colleagues sent video messages congratulating 2NE1 on their reunion. Notable names included Pharrell, TWICE, IU, aespa, IVE, NewJeans, Stray Kids, KISS OF LIFE, Zico, (G)I-DLE, and BOYNEXTDOOR.

Additionally, the entire YG Family gathered to send their congratulations, with G-Dragon, BABYMONSTER, and TREASURE all recording messages for the concert.

Other current and former YG artists, including Gummy, Hi Tech dancers, Daesung, Jinu, Hoony, DK, and Se7en also appeared, as shown through backstage photos.

Most surprisingly, even the rumored lover of former BIGBANG member Seungri was seen at the show, surprising many.

Meanwhile, many initially believed that BLACKPINK was absent from the 2NE1 celebration. However, it was later revealed that BLACKPINK’s Jennie actually attended the show alongside friends and YGX dancers. She was even wearing a cap with the words 2NE1, which is an official merchandise of the 2nd gen girl group.

It seems that the “YG solidarity” is still strong, despite the two girl group’s departure from YG Entertainment.

In recent times, the members of BLACKPINK have focused on their individual activities, with their relationship with YG currently limited to maintaining their group contract. While 2NE1 held their reunion concert, Jennie released a new poster promoting the upcoming MV for “Mantra.” The two groups also have limited interaction and a distant relationship. Many BLINKs believe it would be unreasonable to criticize BLACKPINK simply for not congratulating 2NE1.
