IU Gifts 50,000 Fans Special Souvenir at Today’s Concert

On the evening of the 22nd, the second performance of ‘2024 IU HEREH World Tour Concert Encore: The Winning’ was held at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

‘The Winning’, held over two days on the 21st and 22nd, marked the conclusion of IU’s world tour, which spanned 18 cities over five months, bringing her closer to fans worldwide. The concert, which recorded a sold-out ticket booking, drew approximately 100,000 fans over the two days.

IU opened the concert with ‘Holsseed’. As she appeared on stage via a lift, 50,000 spectators simultaneously cheered. The audience’s enthusiastic singing along and perfect cheering continued into the second song, ‘Jam Jam’.

After the opening performance, IU welcomed the audience, saying, “Welcome to the final encore performance of IU’s first world tour concert in 2024. The cushions you’re sitting on are yours to keep, so please remember to take them with you.”

In an effort to ensure all fans could see her up close, IU provided binoculars to the audience. She explained, “I prepared binoculars as a new gift. They were an important concept in this album. Also, I wanted those watching from afar to see me a little closer, so I prepared them. I hope you find them useful,” touching the hearts of her fans.

She added, “If you’re going to discard the box the binoculars came in, please use the large trash cans prepared near the exit.”

With this concert, IU became the first female musician to perform at both Jamsil Olympic Stadium and Seoul World Cup Stadium, the two largest concert venues in South Korea.
