According to a report by Sisa Journal on Sunday, the Nowon Police Station in Seoul apprehended the suspect, who was accused of violating the Narcotics Control Act, in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The man, believed to be a key figure in drug distribution within the entertainment industry, is currently being held at Dobong Police Station in Seoul.
When asked about the case, an official from Nowon District Office stated, “There are no cases directly related to Han Seo-hee’s alleged drug use. As for other ongoing investigations, including Mr. A’s case, we cannot confirm any details at this time.”
Han Seo-hee, a former idol trainee, previously received a suspended sentence for drug use involving Big Bang member T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun) of YG Entertainment. However, she stirred controversy when she was found to have used drugs again during her probation period.
Adding to the complexity of the situation, actor Lee Sun-kyun’s former lover, Jung Da-eun, was recently implicated in a drug scandal. Jung Da-eun is currently facing trial for perjury in connection with Han Seo-hee’s alleged drug use. While she was found not guilty in the initial trial, the case is now being heard in an appeals court.
This latest arrest sheds light on the ongoing issues of drug use and distribution within South Korea’s entertainment industry, raising questions about the effectiveness of current measures to combat such activities.
