At around 11:36 AM on September 23rd, TenAsia published an article titled “HYBE to Respond to NewJeans’ Requests on September 25th… No Public Disclosure of the Details”.
The article included a statement saying, “On September 23rd, a HYBE representative told TenAsia that the company will provide answers to the requests NewJeans made to HYBE on September 25th, and these responses will be delivered to each member. The specific details of the responses are not expected to be publicly disclosed. HYBE is also considering whether to make the responses public, but it seems the company prefers the matter not to escalate publicly.“
Although the article was suddenly deleted within about two hours, some netizens who captured it shared its content across various online communities.
This isn’t the first time an article about HYBE, former CEO Min and NewJeans has been deleted. Previously, KBS published then deleted an article on September 11th, which implied that former CEO Min tried to prevent an emergency live broadcast by NewJeans.
After seeing this, a netizen posted a petition on KBS’s viewers’ petition board titled “Reveal the Truth Behind KBS Deleting the Min Hee-jin Interview Report”. The petition received 2,514 signatures within two days, prompting KBS to prepare an official response. According to KBS’s petition board rules, if a petition receives 1,000 signatures within 30 days, KBS must respond within 30 days of reaching that threshold.
