On September 20, FIFTY FIFTY held a media showcase at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their second mini album “Love Tune”. During the event, Keena, a member of FIFTY FIFTY, shared her thoughts on the group’s fresh start with a new member lineup.
In particular, Keena expressed, “There was a lot of effort and preparation leading up to today. I feel honored and happy to show everyone FIFTY FIFTY’s new beginning.”
Debuting as a four-member group in November 2024, FIFTY FIFTY made headlines when their first single “The Beginning: Cupid” and its title track “Cupid” climbed to the 17th rank in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking a remarkable achievement for a smaller agency group.
However, the group’s success was overshadowed by legal disputes between all four original members and their agency, ATTRAKT, over contract issues. Keena was the only member to withdraw her appeal just before the court’s decision and rejoined the team.
Following this, ATTRAKT restructured the group by recruiting new members Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana, and Athena, forming the current 5-member lineup.
Reflecting on the situation, Keena said, “I’ve experienced many emotions and had a lot of thoughts during this time. Thanks to the support of many people, I was able to seize this precious opportunity again. I feel fortunate to be able to perform with the new members on stage.”
She continued, “It would be a lie to say I didn’t feel any pressure. The five of us have come together and are determined to show everyone a new side of us. We will continue to work hard to deliver more genuine music.”
FIFTY FIFTY’s comeback album consists of six tracks, including the title track “SOS” and the pre-released song “Starry Night”. The album is available in two versions: “Love” and “Tune”. It also features tracks like “Push Your Love”, “Gravity”, and English versions of “Starry Night” and “SOS”.
