The Black Label Denies Rosé’s Controversial Endorsement, Calling It Untrue

On December 11, the agency of BLACKPINK’s Rosé, The Black Label, issued an official statement regarding news about the female idol’s endorsement of fried chicken brand “bhc”.

In the statement, The Black Label wrote, “The news that Rosé was selected as the model for bhc’s chicken product, as reported on the 10th, is untrue. Rosé has never signed an advertising contract as the model for said product.”

Meanwhile, previously on December 10, it was reported that BLACKPINK’s Rosé, alongside actor Hwang Jung-min and tennis player Shin Yu-bin, have become the models for bhc.

According to media outlet IT Chosun, Rosé is in the final stage of finalizing her contract with bhc, and will be working with the brand to develop its new menu and on future global marketing plans.

However, the news of Rosé’s new endorsement has sparked mixed reactions among netizens. In particular, while some argued that Rosé is perfect for a food brand as she’s the “foodie” among BLACKPINK, others insisted that Rosé’s image is simply ill-fitted for fried chicken.

Overall, however, most agreed that Rosé was selected due to her global popularity, especially following the success of “APT.”, so it doesn’t matter whether her image is “suitable” for fried chicken or not.
