Shin Hye-sun Wishes Happiness for To My Hae-ri: Latest Update

New promos have been steadily dropping in for ENA’s upcoming romance To My Hae-ri, this time introducing us to our characters played by Shin Hye-sun (Welcome to Samdal-ri) and Lee Jin-wook (Sweet Home 3) in the latest stills and video teaser.

As our central heroine, Shin Hye-sun takes on the part of the polished but prickly Joo Eun-ho. For 14 years, she’s been toiling away at her job as an announcer but her career hasn’t blossomed in the way that she had hoped. Adding to her heavy plate, her 8-year relationship with boyfriend – and fellow announcer – Jung Hyun-oh (Lee Jin-wook) has ended and she also struggles with some kind of family trauma.

In the teaser, Eun-ho expresses that every day feels like she’s burning inside and the captions describe her as someone who just wants to be happy. In stark contrast, parking attendant Joo Hye-ri (also Shin Hye-sun) enjoys a rosy, sunny life, with each day just as happy-go-lucky as the next.

We then finally get some confirmation on how our two ladies are linked and the video ends on a shocked Hye-ri learning the truth, asking, “You’re saying that me and this person are the same person?”

How they handle this might make or break the story and I’m curious to see how our second leads Kang Hoon (A Time Called You) and Jo Hye-joo (My Demon) become involved as well. With production led by PD Jung Ji-hyun (Lies Hidden in My Garden, Twenty Five Twenty One) and writer Han Ga-ram (I’ll Find You on a Beautiful Day), ENA’s To My Hae-ri will be premiering next month on September 23.
